Kitchen fitting

Fitting a kitchen from a showroom or a flat-pack, or making one — and what the fitter does not do.

A newly fitted kitchen in a Maltese apartment

A kitchen arrives in one of three ways. From a Maltese showroom, usually with the showroom's own fitter. As a flat-pack — a complete 120 to 240 cm run is €439 to €711 supply only at a Maltese retailer — with nobody to fit it. Or made by a carpenter, which a Maltese marketplace guide puts at €3,000 to €8,000 supplied and fitted, three to six weeks from design to installation. We fit any of the three.

What the fitter does not do matters as much as what they do: plumbing, electrics, gas, worktop templating in stone, and the tiling behind. No Maltese source publishes a labour-only kitchen-fitting rate, so it is quoted after measuring, and the quote says which of those other trades you need.

What this covers

What it costs

Malta publishes no labour-only kitchen-fitting figure, so the fitting line is quoted after measuring. What is published is the small-jobs hourly band that assembly and adjustment are charged at, and the supplied-and-fitted range for a bespoke kitchen.

A band, not a quote: the low end is a straightforward job with clear access, the high end is the same job with the complications a site visit finds. Materials are included where the line says so.

How it works

You deal with us, not with the workshop. We measure, we quote a fixed price, we bring in a joiner from the CheckYourTraders-verified network, and we stand behind the work. One point of contact, one contract, one invoice.

Questions people ask

What should be ready before the fitter arrives?
Walls plastered and floor laid, plumbing and electrics at first fix in the right places, appliances on site, and the worktop supplier booked to template once the units are in.
Where do I see which showrooms stock which brands?
kitchens.mt, another CheckYourTraders site, lists Maltese kitchen showrooms and the brands each one carries.
